Stop Heling 2.4.4

The Stop Heling app allows you to check whether a product is stolen or not by using its serial numbers. The app verifies if the product is registered as stolen in the Dutch police database. Please note that an unregistered product could still be stolen! Sometimes no report has been filed or the report has not been processed yet.

The app can automatically scan license plates and a large portion of serial numbers. Additionally, it provides the option to save your own belongings, including serial numbers and photos. This feature can be useful for insurance purposes or in case you need to file a report.

It is recommended to go through your house once and register all your belongings. This information remains on your device and is not stored by the police. However, the app does offer the option to send the list of your belongings to your email address.

Buying stolen goods constitutes trafficking and is illegal. Those who purchase stolen items are aiding criminals. When buying second-hand items, it is crucial to remain vigilant. Remember: an unregistered product could still be stolen (the database does not trace back further than January 1st, 2010). If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is!
